Our 7-year-old was in a kayak with me in the cave and was fine and enjoyed the experience. The 12 and 10 year olds loved the exploring and adventure of it all and felt totally safe the entire time. The bridge crossing, kayaking in the cave, and drinking the spring water was amazing, but floating down another section of the river to a larger cave was even cooler.
He greeted the locals that we passed by (one man that was using a machete to harvest some taro in his yard, another was an elderly lady). This area was his childhood stomping grounds where he went with friends to swim, catch crawdads, and picnic on the banks of the river, so he knows the place intimately. Edwin was the main guide and it was interesting to see all that he taught us about the flora, fauna, and caves that we experienced. The cave and kayak tour was my favorite day of our week-long trip in Puerto Rico. The south end of Crash Boat typically has fewer crowds, you tend to see more people just chilling with a book and enjoying a good show from surfers during the winter months. The cool thing about Crash Boat is that in one location you get 3 different beaches, each appealing to a specific group, one of the reasons this beach is so popular among locals.

There are some spots best for swimming where the water is calmer, if you’re visiting for the first time, feel free to ask a local, swim where you see families with children, or be sure to get in the water before your children to check out the depth and conditions. The water is beautiful, with various shades from crystal clear, baby blue to cerulean blue tones. If you love photography, Crash boat is a great spot at sunset. The beach was probably named Crash Boat after all the colorful fishermen boats that “crash” on the shores of the beach. Crash Boat Beach is one of the best beaches to experience the authentic local Puerto Rican experience, simple, relaxed, friendly, and always fun. Beach volleyball is a popular pastime for young locals during sunset. During the winter months, the west end of the beach becomes a playground for surfers. There’s a little bit of everything at Crash Boat, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing pier, great sunsets, dancing pelicans, cheap local food, and plenty of parking. The most popular beach in Aguadilla and one of the favorites on the west coast for residents of Puerto Rico. There's a way where you can get out of the reserve and go to a beautiful cove beach, the one in the photos below. You can choose the best way to go but I recommend you go 1 by 1 and then enjoy the last one. Go as light as you can because you'll have to walk not much but at least 10 or 15 minutes.

There are 3 lagoons in which you can bathe or swim and only at the last one, the big one (Guamá) you can jump from the side deck. Not sure if you can feed them, we didn't just in case but I guess you can ask at the reception.
The turtles and fishes comes to welcome you. The natural subterranean water pools are amazing. Dazzling and indigenous place no wonder they were happy.
